My cat got her name mummy because she was a stray and always had litters of kittens ( when i worked for a pet shop )...we found homes for the kittens which was nice but mummy was afraid of humans. Day by day i looked after her and mummy began to trust me and got close to me. After a few years the pet shop was going to close down and i could not bear the thought of leaving mummy behind so i took her home and she beame mine companion..She became so friendly and i adore her very much...After a while she started to look old and as she was a stray i had no idea of her age. She must of been 13 -14 years old easy...Sadly in January 2007 Mummy passed away . I am so happy i gave her the best care in the years that i looked after her. I miss her so much xxx

I will lend to you for a while
a kitten, God said.
For you to love while she lives,
and mourn when she's dead.
Maybe for twelve or fourteen years,
or maybe two or three

I cannot promise she will stay,
since all from earth return.

For all the joys this kitten brings,
the risk of grief I'll run.
I'll shelter her with tenderness,
I'll love her while I may
And for the happiness that I've known,
forever grateful stay.
But should you call her back
much sooner than I planned,
I'll brave the bitter grief that comes,
and try to understand.
If by my love I've managed
your wishes to achieve,
in memory of her sweet sweet love,
please help me while I grieve.
When my cherished kitten
departs this world of strife,
Please send yet another needing soul
for me to love all her life.
